Dr. Betiglu Eshete Jimma is the founder and CTO of BEJ Consulting. He has deep expertise in R&D, process engineering, sustainable materials development, and industrial decarbonization. With over a decade of experience spanning R&D, product development, and large-scale manufacturing, Betiglu has led transformative projects in the construction materials and refractories industries.

At Biomason, he led the development and scale-up of next-generation bio-cement technologies aimed at decarbonizing the concrete industry. His work includes developing patented biocemenation processes and solving scale-up challenges. 

Previously at Saint-Gobain SEFPRO, Betiglu managed multi-national R&D portfolios, led the industrialization of over a dozen ceramic products, and developed patented technologies for quality assurance and process optimization. His innovations have saved millions in operational costs and earned multiple corporate awards for environmental impact and technical excellence.

Betiglu holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and an M.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Be.D from Adama Science and Technology University. He also holds certifications in applied machine learning and lean manufacturing (WCM Green Belt). A published researcher and frequent presenter at international conferences, Betiglu blends scientific rigor with real-world impact to create sustainable, scalable solutions in construction and materials science.
